Midnight Silver Metallic Tesla Model X Gets ADV.1 FLOWSpec Wheels

For those of you that have been following the aftermarket wheel industry, the product name ADV.1 FLOWSpec will certainly ring a bell. Back in the heyday of the forged wheels, some 6-7 years back, the Miami-based wheelmaker decided to release some of their favorite wheel designs in a more affordable, flow formed configuration. However, due to the ever-expanding demand for their custom-made forged wheels, the company was forced to abandon this product for a better day. And that day, our dear readers have come! ADV.1 revealed their revamped FLOWSpec wheel line at the 2019 SEMA Show and now, the wheels are beginning to land on some high-profile builds.
One of the first vehicles to receive their lightweight FLOWSpec wheels is a gorgeous Midnight Silver Tesla Model X. The EV received a set of ADV08 FLOWSpec wheels, giving this luxury people hauler an impressive and aggressive look. For this Tesla Model X, ADV.1 built these FLOWSpec wheels flow formed in sizes of 22×9.5 in the front and 22×10.5 in the rear. For this build, ADV.1 finished these wheels in a clean Satin Black finish.
Thanks to some advanced engineering & design, these wheels weigh at just 31.6lbs (14.33 kilograms) and 33.6 lbs (15.24 kilograms) for the front and rear wheels in these sizes, respectively. For comparison, the OEM Tesla Turbine wheels, which are sized in a slightly less wide 22×9 weigh in at 37.6lbs (17.06 kilograms) in the front, where the 22×10 (again a little less wide) wheels in the rear weigh in at 40.4lbs (18.33 kilograms).
While it may not be a huge difference, but we’re all aware of the range issues the Model X faces with 22-inch wheels and this can certainly help. Well, at least a little bit.
